Kota Otieno

with one comment

Someone introduced Kota the other day as an artist who values all materials. I think that is worthy praise for this singular character. Quiet and softly spoken he constantly surprises with the nature of his work which ranges from sign painting to installations from found materials. He is also cofounder of Masaii Mbili, the only studio in Kibera, Nairobi (a slum of 700,000).
